Wireless Lighting and Player Access Control for 22 Padel Courts

M3 Padel Academy, one of the world's largest padel academies, inaugurated the "M3 Padel Center" in Leganés, Madrid, Spain. This 6,400-square-metre facility, featuring 20 indoor and 2 outdoor courts, is designed to become a global reference for padel.

Planet Power, responsible for the lighting, partnered with Hytronik to integrate an advanced system combining control, comfort, and efficiency.

THE CHALLENGE

The project required a lighting solution that:

• Ensured efficient control: The existing system relied on impractical manual switching.

• Provided visual comfort: Legacy luminaires failed to deliver the uniform lighting needed for professional padel.

• Reduced energy consumption: Improving sustainability without compromising game quality.

• Enabled future integrations: Allowing connection with the booking system to automatically activate lights based on reservations.

THE SOLUTION

Hytronik implemented an intelligent lighting control system in Planet Power's LED luminaires, specifically designed for padel:

• DALI/Bluetooth converters integrated into the 22 courts:

 Transformed luminaires into a connected system, enabling remote control of on/off functions and brightness adjustments via the Koolmesh app or manual switches.

 Facilitated lighting customisation for each court, optimising illumination for various activities and ensuring constant visual comfort.

• Bluetooth repeaters with real-time synchronisation installed on all 22 courts:

 Maintained a stable control network, synchronising schedules and settings even during power outages while eliminating signal dead spots.

 Guaranteed uninterrupted light operation and extended control coverage.

• Centralised control through the Koolmesh App:

 Managed lighting levels, schedules, and customised scenes remotely from any device.

 Simplified operational management, enabling quick adjustments for events or specific club needs.

• Future-proof integration capabilities:

 Designed to connect with the club's booking system to automatically activate lights based on reservations.

 Improved operational efficiency while optimising facility usage for a seamless user experience.

RESULTS

1. For the property owners and administrators:

• Significant energy savings through automation, reducing operational costs.

• Intuitive control via the Koolmesh app, saving time and minimising errors.

• A future-ready system capable of incorporating additional features without major investments.

2. For the players:

• Enhanced gameplay experience with uniform, glare-free lighting, ideal for focusing on their performance.

• Personalised ambiance by adjusting light levels for training sessions, matches, or special events.

3. For Planet Power:

• Increased perceived value of their luminaires through Hytronik's advanced technology.

• A control solution that ensured visual comfort and energy efficiency, strengthening their market position.
