SEAMLESS CONFIGURATION: QR CODE NOW ON THE FRONT OF RETRACTIVE KINETIC SWITCHES

We’ve added a QR code to the front key of our retractive kinetic switches HBKS01D/W and HBKS02D/W, making installation and setup quicker and easier than ever.

Why did we add the front QR code?

Initially, the QR code was only located on the back of the switch. However, feedback from customers highlighted the difficulty of accessing it after installation, especially when the switch is mounted on a wall.

To solve this, we introduced a QR code on the front key, providing a safer and more convenient way to scan and connect your device—no dismantling required and no risk of damaging the switch.

Key insight

For our retractive Kinetic Switches (HBKS01D/W and HBKS02D/W), opening the cover to access the internal QR code could potentially damage the rocker mechanism, particularly for users with larger hands. The front QR code eliminates this risk and ensures a smoother experience.

How does the new QR code work? It’s as simple as 1-2-3:

1. Open the Koolmesh app.

2. Scan the QR code (we recommend using the front one for convenience).

3. Configure the switch and stick it where you need it.

Key details About the update

• This method replaces NFC pairing, ensuring a more reliable and universally accessible connection.

• To make things even easier, installers can follow step-by-step instructions within the Koolmesh app after scanning the QR code.

• Available for retractive switches only: This update applies exclusively to the HBKS01D/W and HBKS02D/W.
